3-D Animation Goes “Deep”

Look at your TV, or your computer screen – something’s missing.  Those images have height and width – but unlike real life – there’s no depth.  That might leave you feeling kind of ‘flat’ when you’re looking at video.  That’s why Running Pony’s graphic artists give our clients that extra dimension in their work – by creating 3-D graphics.  A colorful logo that looks like it’s spinning right at you is going to catch your attention.

RPP graphic artist Scott Mahr says adding that extra dimension can make a finished product “more dynamic, show more detail and make images seem more complete,” and that the finished look that comes from using 3-D graphics, whether stills or animation, will add punch to your message and make you feel at times like you’re right there – flying through the images on the screen.  According to Creative Director Javier Leiva, the use of 3-D graphics “opens up another world.”  Since the whole point of what we’re doing is trying to illustrate things, creating a 3-D look can take a project to a whole new place that it wouldn’t have had before.  “And,” says Leiva, “it just looks cool.”
